So Many New Things!
Just like everyone else, we're really excited about the beautiful cool weather we're finally having. It definitely feels like "back to school" time.
Also - We're getting ready for the First Friday kickoff this week and the second annual Inlight Richmond. Come out this Friday and see all the new shows opening.

Dream Apartment
If there is one place in New York City that could make you feel completely at ease, it's in the home of Byron Wampler and Lawson Waring. With as much art as I've ever seen in one place, their apartment is filled floor to ceiling with reminders of Richmond.
It was fun to see all of the Quirk pieces and how they found a home with these amazing friends. Thanks for letting us stay at "the inn" and we'll see you in January!

Pepper's Here!
Our first day back in town and we are rewarded with a visit from our favorite lady, Pepper.
Last night to celebrate her/our arrival we went to the new restaurant, Balliceaux. This is our new favorite spot in Richmond (well... at least outside of Midtown!)

When the cat is away the penguins will play
With Katie and Diana off taking care of all the serious business, one would expect Hayley and Maggie to be up to no good. The tables have turned. It's our summer interns from the Indianapolis Zoo that have gone hay wire. Although I have asked them a billion times this week to make a blog post all they do is hog the phone and tweet.
Ralph really enjoys Noah Scalin's Grid Skull and wishes it could come live at a zoo or garden.
While Livia and Tulla are hypnotized (and rightly so) by Elizabeth Kendall's exhibit in The Vault.
Well at least they are taking some time to check our shows.

New Shows and Hoopla
We had a wonderful First Friday weekend. Elizabeth Kendall opened her show in the Vault. We liked her work in Birth of a Notion but WOW her vault exhibition is sweeping us off our feet. Noah Scalin's After Life: A Skull Exhibition continued with a kids art day this past Saturday. We also have a fresh shop show of Needle Felted plants by Maggie Smith.
