D.J. Freshie at Quirk
To coincide with our Vault installation for October, Jeweler Dawn Estrin of Bijou Graphique has sent a great selection of her collaborative D.J. Freshie line that she has created with ceramic artist Jenny Mendes. Her jewelry features Jenny's whimsical imagery set into sterling silver frames. Each piece is extremely detailed front and back.

Welcome Jan & Get Well Soon Nitza!
Usually we have a "welcome new intern" blog post, but I somehow didn't get around to many blog posts last week. So here it is... Welcome Jan! We're looking forward to taking full advantage of her photography skillz and enthusiasm!

This just in!
Happy Birthday Maggie!
Take a Chance on Me
Quirk Gallery is proud to be part of an enclave of talented, dedicated, and creative individuals, who work hard to maintain Richmond's Art Scene.
In recognition of that fact, and with a view to perpetuating the creative cycle that Richmond is famous for, we are hosting a fundraiser in support of the Visual Arts Center of Richmond: Take a Chance on Me
Take a Chance on Me gives you the opportunity to win an original piece of artwork from an established and highly collectable Richmond Artist and, at only $5.00 per chanceit's highly unlikely to break the bank!
So, why not pass on your usual bagel and cappuccino, hotfoot it down to Quirk Gallery on the 15th, and put the money towards a 'chance' to win something fabulous. If you are a winner, you will see a return on your investment for years to come, and at zero calories, it begs the question. What are you waiting for?
All proceeds will be donated to The Visual Arts Center of Richmond
Art work generously donated by: Ed Trask, Steven Glass, Hyun Kyung Yoon, Robert Walz
Musical entertainment will be provided by The Moon Dance Trio
Wine generously donated by Bill Robinson of Grape and Cheese

Rebel Designs
Phuze Crystal
These chunky bangles from Phuze Crystal are so great for the first day of Fall. The colors are so rich and the lines are perfectly funky. Designer Orfeo Quagliata combines the color and transparency of glass and crystal with the formal languages inherent in different materials. Phuze creates inventive work with an irreverent sensibility. $120 each
