Gargantua I guess, but I would need to see her (because it must be an her!) first
7. Who is an artist that you've recently discovered that you believe needs to be known the world over?
I just got back from the Philadelphia museum of art show and my booth neighbor was Yasha Butler. Her ceramic work is slick, modern and elegant definitively she is the answer to your question!
8. What is a piece of advice that you live by?
Oh I grew up with my mom telling me all these old popular proverbs that now are part of my everyday life, but they are all in Italian and the translation not always does them justice.

Thea Clark
We would like to formally welcome our newest addition to Quirk Represents, Thea Clark.
Thea's current work examines how we experience the changing self. Objects are transformed into images on silk through the cyanotype process, rendered in the classic blue of this technique. Chosen for their emotional resonance, pearls, chains, nests, and circles signify protection, domesticity, nurturance, the life cycle. The images are combined with mixed media, including a layer of pink plastic that unifies the structural strata. This pink and blue play on deep seated associations, anima, animus, yin and yang, which are the undercurrents of the fluidity and form we call self.
Be sure to check out all of our Quirk Represents artists for yourself. Come in to see their beautiful work in person or check out their images posted on our website.
